Session Objectives:

Participants will be able to identify and explain each component of the SHIELD-R Response Model™, including situational awareness, prevention strategies, and response actions during a critical incident.
2. Recognize and Assess Threats Early
Participants will develop the ability to identify behavioral warning signs, environmental vulnerabilities, and potential risks associated with workplace violence and active shooter scenarios.
3. Apply Effective Response Strategies Under Stress
Participants will demonstrate how to implement SHIELD-R principles—such as escape, lockdown, communication, and defense—through scenario-based decision-making exercises to improve real-time response and survivability.
