Joseph A. Lohkamp, CIH, CSP is currently a Senior Managing Consultant in Ramboll’s Health Science Group. He has over 25 years of Industrial Hygiene and Safety consulting experience in just about all types of industries. He is responsible for the delivery of professional industrial hygiene and safety services to meet client’s needs and to all business sectors including the chemical, manufacturing, commercial real estate, pharmaceutical, aerospace, food and beverage, mining, and construction industries and more. Mr. Lohkamp conducts gap assessments, qualitative and quantitative Industrial hygiene exposure assessments, evaluates relative risk ratings are assigned to help formulate sampling plans and prioritized control plans with defined targets at the corporate, facility, and process unit level. Mr. Lohkamp earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degree’s in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Central Missouri. He holds multiple certifications, including Certified Industrial Hygienist and Certified Safety Professional. He also served as a medium helicopter repairer/crew chief (i.e. Chinook helicopter) in the United States Army Reserves from 1992-2000, Mr. Lohkamp has expertise in compliance with OSHA and MSHA regulations and industry best practices.

This presentation is designed to help in developing a strategy for assessing and managing exposures to workers. It will introduce the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) strategies, risk assessments, various exposure limits and how to apply and interpret them, as well as making informed decisions based on the outcome. An introduction to the available statistical analysis will also be presented.
